So I just tried out this new “Oshimen Maker” on the Glico “Ice no Mi” website. Honestly…it kinda creeps me out a little, seeing how easily i can “put all the features of different AKB girls together”, but nevertheless, I like the interactivity on this thing (speaking in designer terms).
See, I pooled together some features & came up with my own AKB girl! Nacchi’s hair & face shape, Ayarin’s eyes, Yuko’s nose & Harukyan’s mouth. And the (initial) name of my AKB girl is 指田佳優 Sashida Keiyuu (the name part is CG but you can change it). But then I went to hit the randomize button & now her name is Maegawa Sayaka. & when you’re completely done, you can even save a HQ wallpaper or avatar of your new CG Oshi! Like wow right. Come on, vote for my new CG girl HERE! LOL.
And actually it isn’t as creepy when you’re done trying it. It was at first but after that, I think it’s all just harmless fun. (;

High school days - well… what am I expecting from an AKB album, seriously? Hahaha. Maybe I got too carried away by the “OMG FIRST ORIGINAL ALBUM!!!!” thing. Another mediocre song that could be a stage song. There’s another factor that saves a song for me: lyrics. If the lyrics are good, maybe I’ll dig the song. Gotta check that later. Back then, after reading the lyrics for Fan Letter I couldn’t believe I skipped that song all the time, so I got the habit of always checking lyrics. Like… Nageki no Figure is a pretty shitty song but the over-the-top sad lyrics got me and now it’s one of my favorite songs LOL. Anyway, this song is as boring as the first one. Next, please?
Team B Oshi - this song is a trainwreck, seriously. But it’s stupid and fun on stage and the girls shouting their names and lol it’s so bad it’s great. The instrumentals, the vocals, everything sucks about this song but SOMEHOW IT WORKS. Aidoru magic (el oh el). Also, TA-KO-YA-KI~~
Chance no Junban - can I skip…? Listen a bit more, just a bit~~~ Whatever, skipping (at least I passed the second chorus!!!! After recognizing Natsuki and Acchan in the sea of whatever other voices I don’t need this song anymore).
BeniggerBeginner - it’s a great song indeed but I listened to it countless times already, I’m anxious for the OMG ORIGINAL SONGS!!!! etc etc. Skipping.
Ponytail to Shushu - single parade, skipping. I listen to this everyday going to college already.
Heavy Rotation - 4 goddamn singles in a row. They should at least put this one first instead of Chance no Junban because this album started so boring. But maybe they put Hebiro here because the next track is horrible… oh fuck, praying and skipping in 3, 2, 1…
Koko ni ita koto - dat ballad. Well, yeah, got why Hebiro was right before this. I need lyrics to like a ballad unless it’s Sakura no Shiori, which is so pretty it could have denpa lyrics, I’d not care, I’d cry manly tears of quality anyway. -HUGE PAUSE FOR DINNER LOL.- Continuing. Fine instrumentals but meh, nothing impressive unless lyrics are baww-worthy as much as… dunno, Anata ga ite kureta kara.
Overtake - until now it’s the least boring filler. Because every other song that’s not a single sounds like a filler. And there’s Team B Oshi which is just lol, what the fuck is it doing here? They probably realized the album was sounding too basic and all the same so they put the wonkiest recent song they found among the tracks.
Boku ni dekiru koto - wow wow wow motivational song. Sounds so UG. Hey, it’s getting better. This is better than Overtake imho. Why did they start the album with shit tracks, then shoved all the singles in and then a ballad out of nowhere? But then, if they put the good songs first the second half of the album would be too even more boring.
Renai Circus - oh cute. Very idolish and fun and Team B. It might grow on me after a few listens.
Kaze no yukue - ahh, nostalgia of something that never happened. This must have a scientific name or shit like this. The first word in my head for this song: nostalgia. Like, from a distant beloved event… except that I don’t remember any moment like this. And I don’t even know what the lyrics are saying yet, so it’s just an impression. That guitar, man, it’s the guitar. It’s cute, might grow too. I’m hoping these songs with a few girls have solo lines. Oh talking about them, 2 just popped. Anyway, I want more solo lines. I like the whole EVERYONE SINGING NOW!!! thing but what’s the point of putting a few girls on a song and not giving any of them a single line? (cutting the budget could be an answer lol). Ahh I’m extremely ok with this song. Next.
Wagamama Collection - the whiny voiced girls song, right? Wheee kawaiiiiii moeee ugyuuuu etc etc… Whatever. Another Tonari no Banana. Cute. The repetitive Wagamama Korekushouuun might get stuck in my head eventually, but not right now. This could be Warota’s (WELL, MAYBE WAROTA MEMBERS HAVING SOLO LINES INFLUENCED MY OPINION ~A BIT~). Wait. “Oniichan korekushouuun”, “anata no kawaii imouto whatever I didn’t get” - WELL. Hahaha I like where this is going. Ningyo no Vacance - it’s like… a karaoke Jack Johnson instrumental with tiny vocals. Instrumentals sound so karaoke-ish, the whole song sounds indie, dunno why. It’s really cute. There’s something about this that reminds me Shibuya-kei (I know, what the fuck), maybe the backing vocals. If they had put only girls with soft voices this could be on a Katamari Damacy OST lol. Cute overall.
Kimi to boku no kankei - of course the track with the biggest budget goes to TomoAcchan. Not complaining, I’m loving it LOL. It’s cuuuute. Reminds me Aiko Kayo. What ever happened to that flop? I loved her songs. Wait. A rap. UNNECESSARY TO THE MAXIMUM. Hahaha. Ok, this is like… Lazytown + Aiko Kayo + TomoAcchan’s dubious quality vocals + a random rap. Not sure if want LOL.
Iikagen no Susume - Kojima starts with a solo line, I likey. I can hear Sae. I can recognize that voice among up to 4 people LOL. Her voice is so bad idek, there’s something about it that I like a lot, because it’s so bad and pitched I DA NAAAAAAAA. I really like her shitty voice. And she has a solo line too, I mean… this unit has Sayaka and Haachan but they gave the other solo line for Sae HAHAHA LORD. The benefits of being senbatsu.
